WHEREAS The kingdom of Calormen deserves to have a poet laureate
WHEREAS The Royal Calormen Literary Society has, after proper consideration, suggested our named friend for this position,
WHEREAS We fully agree with this assessment,
LET IT BE KNOWN Scott Alexander shall be the Poet Laureate of the Kingdom of Calormen for the term of one year ending the last day of April in the year of our Lord 2005.
In Witness whereof We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent WITNESS of Ourself at Our court at Gagarin palace this twenty-sixth day of April in the Year of Grace 2004, the First year of Our Reign.
