BY THE KING
A PROCLAMATION
JAMES R.
Whereas we did by Royal Proclamation bearing date at Wealdstonbury the Twenty-sixth of May Two Thousand and Ten promulgate a Charter that gave to our Kingdom formerly styled "The Kingdom of Varennes" the new style "The Kingdom of Sconeland":
And Whereas a national community bearing the usurped style "The Kingdom of Hanover" was contrived during Our Reign, of which all attributes, elements, properties, offices, territories, and subjects must necessarily belong to Us in virtue of Our Royal Sovereignty over the Kingdom of Hanover:
And Whereas Our Loving Subjects in the said national community bearing the usurped style "The Kingdom of Hanover" have lately altered the style of Our said Possession in such wise that it is now called "The Commonwealth of Cambria":
And Whereas Our Royal Style and Titles now in use no longer correctly reflect the current realities of Our Realms and Possessions and must necessarily be revised to adequately reflect those realities:
LET IT BE KNOWN, therefore, that We do by this Our Royal Proclamation establish for All Our Realms and Possessions Our Royal Style and Titles as follows:
"James the Second, by the Grace of God of Hanover, Sconeland, and Cambria King, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith".
Of all which Our Loving Subjects and all others whom these Presents may concern are hereby asked to take notice and to govern themselves accordingly,
In Testimony Whereof We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent and the Great Seals of Hanover and Sconeland to be hereunto affixed,
GIVEN at Our Court at Sudbury Castle the Twenty-sixth day of May in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Ten, in the Second Year of Our Reign.
God save the King!
