It is announced from the palace that His Majesty the King extends his warmest good wishes to Jason, late the emperor of the Most Serene Empire of Ascalon, on the occasion of his departure from the Ascalonian Throne.
The Ascalonian Empire was recently dissolved by the Imperial Conclave.
A successor realm calling itself the "Kingdom of Augustiana" was formed by certain former Ascalonians in the wake of the empire's collapse. The palace has reason to believe that this community, too, has since met its demise.
The former emperor, his government, and his people were true friends of this nation and their presence shall be deeply missed.
