Last year at this time we were witnessing the last days of the illustrious reign of our beloved King Alexander. He would abdicate and be succeeded by King James II on May 18.
A reminder then: May 18 marks the first anniversary of the accession of James II. It seems worthy of remark that, although this first year of the new Jacobean era was marked by incredibly dramatic turbulence, followed by near complete inactivity, Hanover still, actually, remains.
And His Majesty still reigns.
It would be nice to do something to mark the King's anniversary next month. Something to bear in mind.
God save the King!
