If anyone is interested, I have expanded the "Conversational Etiquette" guidlines post pinned to the top of this forum.

With respect to individuals specifically mentioned therein, I have not yet included post nominal lettres, for which I beg your pardon. I'm just not sure what they all are, I'm afraid, in anybody's case (my own, included).

At any rate, if you see your name and find something that seems incorrect concerning what I have written about your styles and titles, or if you have any questions about anything, I invite you to address your concerns either on this thread or on the etiquette thread, itself.

I will continue to expand the guidelines from time-to-time as I am able.
If HRM the King of Gotzborg would like to furnish his complete styles and titles, I would be very happy to include a section in the etiquette guidelines under the headline of "foreign heads of state".

I have been going under the assumption that "Your Majesty" is the correct way to address you, conversationally, Sir, but if "Your Royal Majesty" is more correct in your case, please correct me. I know that emperors are sometimes styled "His Imperial Majesty" but then, in conversation, the more simple "Your Majesty" is used. But every court has its own rules. I just want to be sure I'm getting it right in your case, Sir.
Dear Mountcastle,

Although at odds with the Hanoverian styles (as is the beauty of different nationalities with all their little 'quirks' and irritable differences) the style of address is properlly "His Royal Majesty" which would be followed afterwards with simply "His Majesty".

If you want my full and overbearing styling, I will have to dig out the big book, which I will do shortly and send it along.
smilie Is this true?!? His Majesty, the King of Gotzborg, here in Hanover! What an incredibly pleasant surprise!
See what you miss? Oh, the things that happen in these forums when nobody's looking.

smilie
