James Richard Edward George
By the Favour of His Majesty the King
Lord Bishop of Kells
By the Favour of His Majesty the King
Lord Bishop of Kells
Greeting and Benediction.
Whereas I did on the 18th of July 2009 decree that the feast of the Solemnity of the Supremacy of the Crown should be celebrated annually in the Bishopric of Kells on the 17th day of July:
And whereas it seems to me entirely right and fitting that said Solemnity be celebrated before the passing of one year:
And whereas the national patriotic holiday known as Hanover Day falls on the 25th day of July with the Solemnity of the Supremacy of the Crown being a most ideal and fitting way to celebrate this patriotic holiday:
Therefore now I James Richard Edward George, Lord Bishop of Kells, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Crown in and over the See of Kells do hereby decree that the feast of the Solemnity of the Supremacy of the Crown shall be transferred this year to the 25th day of July, Hanover Day, and shall be celebrated in and throughout the Bishopric of Kells on that day with all due pomp and circumstance.
Given at Kells this 21st day of July 2009.
