My Lords and Gentlemen,
Since I became Justiciar a few short weeks ago I have constantly striven to perform the tasks and duties of that exalted position to the best of my ability. I now realize that I am not suited to that position. I should never have taken the post in the first place but did so because His Majesty the King, and all of you, wished it. I am sorry if I have trod on any toes, offended, hurt, or disappointed any of you.
My place is in the Cathedral, there to sit upon that throne given to me by King Alexander the First nearly two years ago. I was called to lead the Church of Hanover to a new a glorious future and I do commit myself even more firmly to that command first given by King Alexander the First. By becoming a politician I have not devoted the time that the Church of Hanover, and her members, deserve. I intend to remedy this situation.
I do hereby resign from the post of Justiciar of His Majesty's Government and do deliver the insignia of my office into His Majesty's most gracious hands.
May God have mercy on us.
