My Lords and Gentlemen,

I beg to introduce this bill

Quote:THE NATURALIZATION (AMENDMENT) ACT 2009

An Act to bring the requirements of the naturalization process to meet the needs of the nation.

WHEREAS Second Life no longer holds any value to the nation;

WHEREAS The needs of the nation to have tangible confirmation of citizenship is no longer of value;

BE IT ENACTED by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, That the naturalization act 2006 and the naturalization (amendment) act 2008 shall be amended as follows:

Section 3, for Subsection 6, there shall be substituted the following:
Quote:6. Those wishing to apply for citizenship shall proceed to the forum operated by the Home Office and, using the current form supplied there by the Home Office, shall post their application pursuant to the regulations and instructions found there.

No sooner had the virtual ink dried on this electronic parchment when I realized we should clean up a few more things.

Thus I put forth this amendment to the bill.

The Home Secretary is required to keep an archive where accepted application are stored in order to keep sensitive personal information protected. The archive shall be accessible only by minsters in His Majesty's government.
