My Lords and Gentlemen, I beg to introduce the following Resolution for the consideration of the House.

Quote:BE IT RESOLVED that it is the sense of this House that the Standing Orders, section 4, should be amended by adding these subsections.

4. All divisions of the house shall begin on weekdays Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday provided those are not national holidays.

5. All divisions, should they extend into Saturdays, Sundays or national holidays, shall be extended by an equal amount of time for the period of which the division and the non business days overlap so that a full two days is allowed for the division.

6. Members may still express their votes during non business days.

My Lords and Gentlemen, the Question is that it be so resolved. May all that are of that opinion say Content; to the contrary, Not Content.
