My Lords and Gentlemen,
Given recent complaints concerning the concentration of power in my own hands by simultaneously holding three offices, and the suggestion that such concentration might result in the existence of a tyrannical "super minister", I have decided to resign my office of Lord High Steward.
I hope that this decision will lessen the fears which have arisen in some quarters about my possible service to the Crown as Justiciar.
