My Lords and Gentlemen,

As our very recent past has shown us, the transition from one Parliament to another is less smooth than it should be. Therefore I introduce this amendment to the Standing Orders.

Quote:
Section 7: Continuation

37. These standing orders shall remain in force whenever Parliament is seated and shall not need to be reinstated upon dissolution and subsequent convocation.
My Lords and Gentlemen,

Per the Standing Orders and the policy of the Speakership, I call for the house to divide upon this question of adopting this resolution.

All discussion on this issue shall stop during the vote, except as may be required by point of order.

Those in favor of adoption shall signify by stating "CONTENT" and those against with "NOT CONTENT".
