Alexander Rex et Imperator
ALEXANDER THE FIRST, by the Grace of God of Hanover, Varennes, and Morovia King, Emperor of Laitenburg, Duke of Gottingen, Defender of the Faith, and of the Church of Hanover Supreme Governor, unto Our trusty and beloved subject Alexander von Kassel, and unto all our most loving, faithful, and obedient subjects, Greeting.
FORASMUCH as Our right trusty and right entirely-beloved Counsellor Vulstanius, by Divine Providence, Lord Archbishop of Bergen and Primate of All Hanover, has made certain representations unto Us, to the effect that Alexander von Kassel is a man learned in matters of the Church, wise in the Faith, and desirous of serving the cause of the Lord in Our Realm of Hanover; And We, being always mindful of the benefit and well-being of the Church, ever wish to prefer and advance those who will serve her worthily:
KNOW YE NOW that We of Our especial grace, certain knowledge, and mere motion have created, erected, and appointed, and do by these Presents so create, erect, and appoint, Our trusty and beloved subject, the same Alexander von Kassel aforesaid, one among the Capitular Canons of Our Cathedral of Saint George, in the See of Bergen;
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF We have caused these Our Letters to made Patent, Witness Ourself at Our Court of Saint George's Palace, this Seventh Day of May in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Nine, and in the Fifth Year of Our Reign.
