Madam speaker,

Per the Organic Law, Part IV, section 20:

Quote:At least twice in each year, the King shall summon a session of the Parliament. The King shall have the right to dissolve Parliament, or prorogue it for a period not exceeding two months.

Seeing that it is in the best interest of the nation to allow time for the Justiciar to re-establish himself at his new residence, I hereby prorogue this Parliament for until 2009-April-12, or sooner should the Justiciar notify the Crown that he is prepared to resume his duties.

All business of the Parliament is stopped.

No new bills, resolutions, or letters of business shall be introduced into this Parliament and no discussion or divisions shall take place during this period.

Private speeches may proceed provided they follow the Standing Orders.
