All,

Many of you know of my interest in space technology.

Here is an opportunity for all of us to have a little fun and do something interesting.

In 2009 NASA will launch the Kepler spaceship that is "... capable of detecting Earth-size and smaller planets in the habitable zone of solar-like stars." This is the next step to reaching out to the cosmos. If we're going to ever send colonies to other worlds, we need to first find where those other worlds exist.

We all have the ability to participate in a small way by adding our names to a DVD that will be sent aboard the spacecraft. The form asks for your name and a sentence. When you're done it lets you print a certificate of participation.

I thought we could have some extra fun out of it by having everyone submit their name nd then assembling all the certiciate images into a thread. You can submit them by scanning or printing them and mailing them.
