ALEXANDER THE FIRST, by the Grace of God of Hanover and Varennes King, Duke of Gottingen, Defender of the Faith, Supreme Governor of the Church of Hanover, to Our trusty and beloved Counsellor Christopher McQueeny, Our Lord High Treasurer, Greeting:

WHEREAS Christopher D. McQueeny is known by all to possess great knowledge and abilities in matters ecclesiastical, being therefore apt to contribute greatly to the administration of the Church in Our Kingdom of Hanover, and to ensure the proper glorification of Our Lord within Our Realm; And whereas We feel it needful for the Lord Archbishop of Bergen to retain an assistant to perform such duties as he thinks fit in the context of the Church of Hanover:

BE IT NOW KNOWN that We do by these Presents create, erect, and appoint Our trusty and beloved subject, the same Christopher D. McQueeny aforesaid, Our Archdeacon of New Bergen;

AND WE DO FURTHER by these Presents enjoin and command that in right of the same position he shall be accounted he shall be accounted as inferior in honour, amongst all clergy within Our Church of Hanover, only to the Primate of Hanover, and its Lord Archbishops, Lord Bishops, and Lord Abbots.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF We have caused these Our Letters to made Patent, WITNESS Ourself at Our Court of Saint George's Palace, this Thirtieth day of April in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Eight, and in the Fourth Year of Our Reign.
