Present: The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.
Present: The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.
WHEREAS it is expedient that the burden of daily administration in the Church of Hanover should not continue to be laid upon the Supreme Governor, but rather should be consigned to the Primate and such others as he may think fit to appoint: Be it therefore ordered by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice of the Lords and Others of His Most Honourable Privy Council here assembled, as follows:
The Primate of Hanover shall advise the King on all matters concerning the Church of Hanover and the betterment of the Christian faith in Hanover, and shall in the King's name appoint all officers and dignitaries of the Church, constitute and incorporate dioceses, chapters, and other institutions, and see to the good ordering of the Church's affairs in the Kingdom.
