My lords and gentlemen,
As we resume the work of this Parliament in advancing the work of the nation.
Forefront in my mind is the constitution. The nation has been without this critical document for far to long. The process has begun, and now all that is left is to complete the work. I will continue in my role as facilitator to move this invaluable effort forward.
Once this is complete the Parliament may well turn its attention to other pressing matters, such as foreign relations. We are at a very fortunate time in our history as our strongest allies have once again reached out to us in friendship and we find that, as a nation, we are unprepared to respond gracefully.
So then, let us put our noses to the grind stone and turn some of these plain old rocks into beautiful gems.
