ALEXANDER THE FIRST by the Grace of God King of Hanover and Varennes, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, unto Our trusty and beloved Counsellor Christopher Demitrios McQueeny, Our right trusty and right entirely-beloved Cousin and Counsellor Vulstanius, Lord Archbishop of Bergen, Our trusty and beloved Carson Smith, Gentleman, and unto all of Our loving subjects whatsoever to whom these Presents may come, Greetings!

WHEREAS certain representations have been made unto Us by Our trusty and beloved Counsellor Christopher Demitrios McQueeny, Our Lord High Treasurer, to the effect that, as it is not presently convenient for Us now to grant and confer unto one amongst Our loving subjects the care and keeping of Our Great Seal of Hanover, it would be most prudent and effectual now to entrust the said care and keeping of the same unto the divers Ministers and Officers whom we have been pleased to appoint to govern Our Realm of Hanover; and We are minded to accede thereto:

KNOW YE NOW that We of Our especial grace, certain knowledge, and mere motion, and by right of the authority granted unto Us by an Act passed by Our High Court of Parliament, intituled an Act to reform the procedures and composition of the High Court of Chancery, have thought fit to appoint, and do by these Presents so appoint, Our trusty and beloved Counsellor Christopher Demitrios McQueeny, Our right trusty and right entirely-beloved Cousin and Counsellor Vulstanius, Lord Archbishop of Bergen, and Our trusty and beloved Carson Smith, Gentleman, to be Our Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal:

AND WE DO FURTHER command, enact, and enjoin that they, or any one of them, shall have the care, keeping, and use of Our Great Seal of Hanover, and that any Proclamations, Charters, Letters Patent, Writs, or divers other documents duly and lawfully passed by them under the same Great Seal of Hanover shall be taken to be as good as those passed by Us, signed by Our Own Hand; and the same shall be read, known, and obeyed by all of Our loving subjects:

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF We have caused these Our Letters to made Patent, WITNESS Ourself at Our Court of Saint George's Palace, this Thirteenth day of September in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Seven, and in the Fourth Year of Our Reign.
