ALEXANDER THE FIRST by the Grace of God King of Hanover and Varennes, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, unto all of Our loving subjects whatsoever to whom these Presents may come, Greetings!
FORASMUCH as We have, from time to time, been accustomed to appoint one amoungst Our loving subjects to administer Our many and divers lands, properties, and articles, corporeal as well as incorporeal, so that We might not be unduly wearied and burdened with the care of the same, and thereby distracted from the many grave and weighty concerns which ever pertain to and affect Our Realm of Hanover:
BE IT NOW KNOWN that We, of Our especial grace, certain knowledge, and mere motion, and of Our Prerogative Royal in this respect, have thought sit to ordain, command, and enjoin, and do by these Presents so ordain, command, and enjoin, That there shall be a Lord High Treasurer for Our Realm of Hanover, appointed by conveyance of a White Staff and Seal into his hands by Us, Our Heirs Successors, in in the presence of the Lords of Our Most Honorable Privy Council:
AND WE DO FURTHER enjoin and command that Our Lord High Treasurer shall have the control, direction, and administration of all of Our divers properties incorporeal and corporeal which We hold or shall hold in right of Our Throne of Hanover, encompassing Our national discussion fora, website, and divers other incorporeal properties held by Us, Our Heirs Successors
AND WE DO order and enjoin that the same Lord High Treasurer aforesaid shall be appointed, from time to time, by means of the delivery of his White Staff and Seal in the presence of the several Lords of Our Most Honourable Privy Council, rather than by any Writ or Letter issued out of Our High Court of Chancery for that purpose, and that upon the public signification of Our will and intent to deliver the same divers Seals and Insignia of office, the person appointed to be Our Lord High Treasurer shall immediately enter into the duties of his office, and serve therein until Our pleasure shall be otherwise:
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF We have caused these Our Letters to made Patent, WITNESS Ourself at Our Court of Saint George's Palace, this fourteenth day of August in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Seven, and in the Fourth Year of Our Reign.
