Dearly Beloved,

I just wanted to remind everyone that this Monday, the 6th of August, is the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ on Mount Tabor.

This Feast is one of the 12 major Feasts of the Christian Church, you can find the account in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 17:1-6, Gospel of Mark, chapter 9:1-8, and the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 9:28-36.

I exhort all of you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, to read those passages and reflect upon them, and to pray diligently and devoutly, that you too may be Transfigured with Our Lord Jesus Christ on this glorious feast.

I will be giving a sermon on the Feast of the Transfiguration and its meaning for each of us, for the spiritual nourishment of all the Citizen's.

I also wanted to remind everyone that August 15th is another major feast of the Church, the Dormition (or Falling-asleep, as her repose is oft called) of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I will again be giving a sermon on that day. I know that this is often a time for going on vacation and relaxing, but we must still pray and try to attend Church services wherever that may be. This is also a wonderful and especially important time to ask the Blessed Mother for her prayers and intercession on our behalf as we approach her Holy Dormition.

Most Holy Mother of God, intercede with Christ our God to save us!

In Christ,
