I am sorry that Your Majesty was suffering a crisis.
Various Hanoverian leaders let it be known that the styles of the various nations assembled here were not considered peers to Your Majesties realm.
So we went home.
I wish your Majesty and people well.

Mr. President,
Oops, wrong forum, None the less, having accidently sparked an accidental response, and seeing how no one else here is busy and thus this discourse would not interrupt anyone I shall continue.
I'm curious, why would a President be interested in such things? Peerages are distinct to Monarchy. Does your nation, that I presument to be a republic based on your title of President, also have peers, or perhaps my assumption is wrong?
You might be wondering why I would ask these things aloud? Surely you must assume that I have a minister of Foreign Affairs in whom I could, privately, inquire about such things, and indeed, you are correct, but as this is not a diplomatic discussion, even though it does happen to be in the conference forum, which should be closed as the conference is obviously defunct, I feel it would be useful to hear about your nation first hand.

My condolences to Your Majesty on your recent loss. I read the other forums after posting here earlier.
By "peers", I was referring to equality among nations.
The FRC is indeed a Republic. Whoever, among my checkered titles are King of the Mala'anje (the first humans in our land), and Emperor of Cognito & Lac Glacei.
For many years I also sported the title "Emperor of Cyberia", which I have sworn only to accept from a free and united Cyberia, rather than from a faction.
Indeed, in the olden days I would have signed
Jacobus, DGetVxPopImpC&LG&CybOmnRexMalProtCG.
(Jacobus, by the Grace of God and the Voice of the People, Emperor of Cognito, Lac Glacei and Cyberia, Lord of all Cognitan lands, King of the Mala'anje, Protector of Cocoanut Grove.)
It is a long story.
The Rally for the Imperium is still an active party at home, headed by my nephew the Prince Imperial, who briefly reigned as Jacobus II. We also have among us Grand Duke who holds his title in abeyance, and the last King of Morovia, the former Vincent IV.
I attempt to balance a nation with a fierce republican faction, monarchists with nothing to be ashamed of, and a significant Communist faction.
(I am also available for a Stuart restoration, and/or a Bonapartist one.
)As for Cyberia, Great-Uncle Louis Napoleon's model is appealing, but my word is my word.
Not that any of this is of consequence. May Your Majesty long rule in peace and glory!

Mr. President,
Having said all that you said, do you think the single issue of equality, to use your word, is the whole reason for the collapse of the conference, or might other issues also be involved?
I ask this because I personally felt the conference collapse is a national embarrassment. But rather than dwell on the past, I look to the future, and would like to avoid such situations if possible.

Your Majesty's associate, "James", told the delegates that Hanover considered itself of another sort than those of us who were invited to participate in the conference.
Mr. Thompson seemed to have fallen out of favor within Your Majesty's Government. Whether this was because of his moderating of the conference, or if other factors were in play, foreigners cannot tell.
So everybody went home.
No offense.

Mr. President,
I appreciate you taking the time to talk frankly with me on this issue.
I do find some of your answer a bit puzzling. Hanover has always defined itself as a functioning Monarchy and world power and not a simulation. James, the primary founder of Hanover, stated as much. May of the participants invited to the conference come from simulations that do not, likewise, define themselves as true nation, but rather are very happy to be simulations.
This is not an insult to you or anyone.
The hobby of micronationalism is as valid as any other hobby, but being a member of a simulated nation does not mean that the honors bestowed inside that community should spill over into the realm of world powers. To put it another way, many of the participants are engaged in an entertainment, or, without derision, a game. Surely one who holds a title in a game, such as "Bishop", would not expect the other spiritual organizations to respect that title, would they?
Why would that observation be enough to drive off people?
Mr. Thompson's disposition with Our government is not for me to comment upon in public. The Throne stands behind Mr. Thompson and has not wavered in support for him and the effort that resulted in this conference.

Your Majesty,
I hope my comments will not seem out of place, but I thought I might briefly explain why Ascalon left the Bergen Conference.
Simply put, we left because the Conference appeared to be focusing on things like the proposed Union of Anglia, and Ascalon is not interested in such a venture. Try as we might, we could not see how it would benefit us since we eschew war and, for the most part, function offline.
Although we left the Conference, our esteem for Your Majesty and Your Majesty's Government remains undiminished.
Sincerely,
Andrew Loughton

Mr. Loughton,
Your comments are very welcome.
I believe you have hit upon something I have been feeling for a while. The major cause of the colapse of the conference had to do with the sudden single issue focus, specifically the Union of Anglia, which also was compounded by a rushed presentation.
For Hanover this has been a rather rough spot, but as with all things we have learned some important lessons.
Thank you for your time,
Alexander R.
