Your Majesty, Mr. Thompson, honored guests, fellow delegates:

I am humbled to be here among such great people, so devoted to our hobby. It is good to know that Internet micronationalism, by now almost a decade old, has not slowed, and has showed no signs of stopping.

When I became involved with micronationalism back in 1999, there were a number of micronational organizations to keep the community in touch with itself. The famous (or infamous) League of Secessionist States was by far the most prestigious of these communities. But these were all too often inactive, and I am most grateful that more informal organizations such as the GSO and Micronations.net have kept up activity. I fervently hope that this summit is in that tradition, and that the Bergen Conference promotes long lasting friendships among all participants!

On behalf of Attera, thank you.

Imperial Ras Charles
Prime Minister of the Atteran Empire
I remember well the days when YAMO was a term of derision.
It still is, I believe.
Then we need a new term?

The point of the conference is not to invent new ways of slagging each other off, Jacobus.

Quote:
slagging each other off, Jacobus

I'm sorry, I don't understand the reference.

I believe what the President of the FRC was trying to say was that if the term YAMO is derogatory, then we should have a term that isnt.
Sorry. My mistake.
No problem. smilie
Ras Charles, it indeed a pleasure to find you here, and I do share your opinion on being sorrounded by such important people.

Sincerely,
