There has been some confusion about the term of the Prime Minister based on the time line surrounding the issuance of the Letters Patent.

The Throne feels this situation must be clarified.

The bureaucratic failure to promptly publish the Letters Patent does not hold weight in this situation because all the effected parties were fully aware of and agreed with the content and existence of the pending Letters Patent, and that such mechanical failures cannot be allowed to cause discord in the business of the Kingdom.

Therefore is it is judgment of the Throne that the Prime Minister was appointed properly by tradition even if not strictly by law, and that the nation recognized the Prime Minister and he fulfilled the duties therein. The term shall end at the expected time of 2007-JUL-31 without prejudice as the Prime Minister is in no way at fault for this oversight and he may choose to seek reelection knowing he enjoys the full faith and trust of the Crown.
