HIS MAJESTY ALEXANDER
GAGARIN ROYAL OFFICE
HANOVER

The news of the capture of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was received with great joy by the house of Gagarin. It is a definite sign that the old regime is dead and a new day has dawned upon Iraq.

Unfortunately the violence continues.

An Iraqi war crimes court shall decide the fate of the oppressive despot, and this is as it should be.

We hope this development will hasten the return of stability and self governance to the Iraqi people.

Regards,
Alexander

The House of Marchmain joins His Majesty in rejoicing over the capture of Saddam Hussein by the American and British lead coalition forces.

I would like to voice my personal support of and thanks for the leadership of the President of the United States, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the government leaders of so many other nations whose troops, governments and people have done so much in the effort to liberate and now to revivify the Iraqi nation.

I wish the people of Iraq a prosperous future filled with happiness, love and light. I wish the troops in Iraq a safe return to their families and I offer a prayer for eternal blessedness for those who have lost or may yet sacrifice their lives fighting for freedom.

From every mountainside, and across the vast deserts, let freedom ring.
On behalf of His Majesty Executive Government, I too applaud the efforts of all the Coalition forces and the Iraqi people in capturing this dictator alive. The goal of the free and democratic peoples of the world is the support the causes of liberty, equality and democracy around the world. Today a tyrant's brutal reign has been ended and dawn has broken once more in the Republic of Iraq.

However, the future of Iraq is still uncertain. One man did not completely run the brutal regime that enslaved the Iraqi people. The job for the people of the free world is still long and difficult but without a doubt I know we will endure.

Over the last hundred years we have seen wars between imperial powers and wars against fascists and communists. Our generation will be marked by this war on terror and tyranny.

Will we win? Without a doubt I believe. We have nothing to fear but fear itself a great man once said and I forsee that fear will be all but irradicated. I hope and pray for a world where the children of the world will be safe and we will be united in the causes of mankind.

God Bless and God Speed
As a Prince of the House of Marchmain, I must second the sentiments of HRH the Duke of Marchmain. I too, feel that it is a great victory for the coalition and for the Iraqi people. Saddam Hussein now has no possibility of ever returning to power. The future is still misty but with a tremendous amount of work on the part of the people of Iraq one day in the future they too may share some of the freedoms that we share. I would like to specially congradulate President Bush and Prime Minister Blair for their steadfast committment to the effor of capturing Saddam Hussein and freeing the Iraqi People, as well as all other nations who have assisted. It is surely a sunny day in Baghdad, metophorically, as it seems to always be sunny. I hope to one day see Iraq as a free nation for both men and women. These people have suffered long enough, now it is time for them to have an easier and better life. I share in the happiness of all to see Saddam Hussein behind bars. FOR THE IRAQI PEOPLE!
