I've put up a board of sorts
here, just for minor communication and announcement purposes. Give it a look (I know it's a bit sparse) and post your suggestions here, please.
Sir Christopher:
I love the heraldry and the banner although I have a few questions, if you don't mind my asking:
1. Whence this Russian theme and is the vodka stronger there than it is here?
2. Why "Calormani" as opposed to "Calormen"?
3. Why is the Governor-General administering his government from a cathedral instead of a government house? (No doubt all that vodka plays a factor)
4. Why is it called "Emperor Anderson" airport and not "Emperor Christopher I" airport. It seems strange to call an Emperor by his surname, particularly when he was known as "Christopher I".
5. Why on earth is there an airport?
6. Can I at least get a strip-mall or something named after me? Crimony.

Do you realize we're on the fourth Emperor of Calormen? My, my, how history goes marchin' on by.
Incidentally, do you need me yet for that council you appointed me to without my originally being aware of it? <_< While we're on that topic, if this place ever gets subdivided into provinces, I call dibs on a lieutenant governorship. I figure that way, I can give speeches from the throne again.
From emperor to aspirant local figurehead. How much lower can I sink? Maybe I'll just get a job barbacking in a red-light district cabaret and get it over with now.
Quote:1. Whence this Russian theme and is the vodka stronger there than it is here?
It seemed interesting, and so far I have not seen any nation that carps on a Tsarist theme. Besides, somewhat geograhically, it's beside the Morovia, and within striking distance of Babkha.
Quote:2. Why "Calormani" as opposed to "Calormen"?
Similar to usage of "The British Empire" instead of "The Empire of Britain".
Quote:3. Why is the Governor-General administering his government from a cathedral instead of a government house? (No doubt all that vodka plays a factor)
I'm not. It's just that announcements are done on the steps outside, and not inside.
Quote:4. Why is it called "Emperor Anderson" airport and not "Emperor Christopher I" airport. It seems strange to call an Emperor by his surname, particularly when he was known as "Christopher I".
My mistake.
Quote:5. Why on earth is there an airport?
It's a links list, and I couldn't think of a better word.
Quote:6. Can I at least get a strip-mall or something named after me? Crimony.
By all means. Marchmain House?

Certainly. I may later have it meet at the Boyarsky Zal, or Boyar's Hall.
Wasn't the Duke of Windsor GG of the Bahamas once? We can certainly redo that at some point. Maybe the equivalent of the Lord Mayorship of Milyukovsk?

Well, allow me just to congratulate you, Sir Christopher, on your proactive leadership of the Empire. I'm glad to see that Calormen is on its way to becoming an active member of the Commonwealth. When Prince Justin recovers, I plan to speak with him and with His Majesty about bringing Athenoi up to speed.
The Duke of Windsor was, indeed, Governor of the Bahamas. Now tell me he didn't plan that! Hmmm...foggy, rainy London or a tropical paradise...I wonder which place I'd choose. Rent the movie "To Catch a King," an action-adventure surrounding a plot to kidnap the Duke during his time as Royal Governor. The actor who played him was marvelous.
"Marchmain House"? I was thinking more along the lines of "The Marchmain Galleria at the Pier". <_<
