Re: Letters Patent: Minister for Protocol
Congratulations to Prince Justin on his new post.

I have a question, though. What does a Minister of Protocol do?

Minister of Protocol
Sir Nicolas:

I will do my best to answer your question:what is the Minister of Protocol.

First, I am the protector of all of the symbols of the Kingdom of Hanover. I keep the Royal Arms up to date. I also authorize who can use the Royal Arms. I catologue all of the Coats-of-Arms that citizens of Hanover have had created for them by the Pendronian College of Heraldry.

I keep a detailed record of the titled nobility: who titles have been issued to. As well as keep an account of the Royal Orders of Chivalry: the Most Noble Order of the Act and the Order of Hanover. There will be a record of each person who has received the honors and I will decide who honors are granted to from this time on. Nominations can be submitted by anyone who feels a peer should receive an honor for dutiful service to the Crown, either domestic or foreign.

I will also make sure that the website and forums are properly updated, that the news is current and things are acurate. All official news and Royal Letters Patent pass through the office to make sure they follow Royal Protocol.

I represent the Crown in informal foreign relations. I correspond with Foreign Royals. I am sure to wish a Foreign Royal or Noble a happy birthday or congradulate them on a recent achievement.

In essence, I am in charge of Ceremonial Duties and Symbolism of the realm as well as the heraldic registry and Chivalric Orders. I hope this answers any questions you had.

With Respect and Esteem,

+Justin

Prince Justin,

Yes, that answered my question. Sounds like a big job.
