A Morovian's View on "The Merger"
The following, ladies and gentlemen, are the inspirational words of Peter Krembs, a Morovian official currently advocating the cause of Hanover's subjugation by his king in the micronations.net merger debate thread. Mind you, there are other Morovians who are not so arrogant, and the idiotic comments of this man do not reflect everyone's viewpoint, but it is a taste of what you may expect if you entirely surrender Hanover's sovereignty to his royal patron:
"I will not support a merger between Morovia and any other micronation, unless it is Morovia that retains its sovereignty and its Royals."
-Peter Krembs
"It seems to me much of this debate centers around attempting to avoid hurting the tender sensitivities of certain Hanoverians. Morovia offers dual citizenship-- if you're not satisfied in Hanover, please, seek citizenship in Morovia and vice-versa.
But don't insist that Morovia owes you something because you were so hurt and distraught that you had to go off and found another monarchial micronation."
Peter Krembs, AM
Kingdom of Morovia
"My solution for the impasse is simply this: Let sleeping dogs lay. You and the Hanoverians seem to want the best of both worlds: you claim you're independent from Morovia, and yet you blame Morovia's resurgence on the lack of interest in Hanover and want in on the "action."
No one said Hanover owes Morovia anything (although that argument could be made). However, it is childish in the extreme to demand that Morovia give up some or all of its sovereignty simply because (in your mind) it's interfering with the progess of Hanover."

Re: A Morovian's View on "The Merger"
This latest gem was given to me in response to my pleas for an honourable unification:
"Your Majesty,
I find your rebuttal amusing, if not totally childish. I still believe, on some level, you desire to see this merger go through so that you can be considered for the position of co-Regent. I suspect that would be a tremendous boost to your fragile ego.
God bless you, Your Majesty.
My regards to your fiefdom's Parliament..."

Re: A Morovian's View on "The Merger"
"...I am no longer a citizen of Hanover (I was at one time), since here and now I renounce my citizenship in that nation. I won't be associated with a two-bit knock-off fiefdom that seriously suggests the silencing of dissenters.
Now, run along. You're bothering your betters..."

Outside looking in
Citizens of Hanover and fellow Monarchist,
First, a quick introduction. I am a citizen of Pendronia, the Minister of Information. I publish The Pendronian News Service.
Lately I have heard so much about the possible merger between Hanover and Morovia that I thought I'd come see what all the commotion was about for myself.
Beyond being just a reporter, I'm also a person with opinions. After reading a about this situation here, in Morovia and on micronations.net I'm left with these thougths:
Those that want to return to Movoia should (and in fact already have).
Those that want to stay in Hanover should.
His Majesty King Thomas I has indicated he is more interested in being Morovian than the monarch of Hanover.
Hanover has survived the transition of the thrown before, and I suspect it could survive another one.
If there are those who wish to have sovereignty of
Hanover maintained they should be allowed while those who wish to have a Hanover Dual Monarchy can allow it as well. Governments and countries throughout theages have faced these sort of splits.
No matter how it comes out, I wish you all the best. God bless.
