His Imperial Majesty said something about retiring the empire, but I never expected this! Alexandria is some sort of Islamic Republic now!

I never expected the forum to be just... gone...

And I was never officially sworn in as the First Democratically Elected Prime Minister of Alexandria..

Does anyone know about this? Perhaps the forum was just moved?

Regretfully,

The Former (Apparently) Imperial Prime Minister of Alexandria

Post Scriptum: Apparently I'm of the Group "Imprisoned"... So there must have been some fake takeover.. smilie
Such things happen in micronationalism.

Let me tell you a story, its a story of the TroyNation.

Once there was a micronationalist called Troy, he founded the TroyNation. No one really took an interest, so he traded his 'micronation' in and got a title as the head of the TroyNation province. No one emigrated to the province, no matter how many adverts he put on his news blog about free positions in the nations newly announced legions of doom. So he declared it seceded. He changed its name a few times. He merged with a few other similiar entities, who lost interest when he declared himself president of this federation and started ordering people around in a most unpolite manner. He staged revolutions against himself, declared himself emporer of various things one day and peoples liberator the next.

The entity was called TroyNation by others, because no one could keep track of its ever changing URL, forums, Name, official language or theme.

This behavior is simply a symptom of a certain kind of leadership, or lack thereof. Its characterized by a desire to be the boss man, an impatence with others and the entities they form when success does not materialize as they imagined it, and a tendency to resort to name/theme changes, the generation of crises and various forms of role playing fiction to generate interest. They will join larger micronations to gain status through titles (often in the forms of mergers) and will often leave when they realise that title alone does not equal respect, but that respect in our community is earnt through work.

I could rant for ages, but I will finish by saying two things. At one stage the TroyNation did emerge into a viable micronational community, of sorts, when it's leader gained greater insight into what leadership entails and learnt from past mistakes. TroyNation became less egocentric, and decisions were made by the group as opposed to unilaterally by its leader. This is what a successful micronation is. For the individual in your position, I can only say its time to move on, for whilst one person has "the will to rule/dominate" others will simply achieve frustration in their attempts at nation building.

P.S the best fun in micronationalism is achieved participating in a larger group, such as Hanover, as opposed to joining someones 'pet'. I speak as the owner of a 'pet', I have far more fun in Hanover!
I have to ge this out of the way.

HAHAHAHAHAHA you are imprisioned. I would have done that in school, but I never see you there.
Oh, you think this is funny, eh? Well, my fwend Biggus Diccus will hear about this!

And he'll tell his wife Incontinentia Buttux who'll get very mad at you... smilie
