To Whom It May Concern,

In light of recent discussions I hereby resign my seat from this Congress and denounce the Unity effort that I helped to put forward for one United Kingdom. Calormeni will never find it's plae in a United Kingdom and I will not be a part of selling my country away for magic beans. The vision I have heard here was not even close to a united vision of Hanover that I had discussed with the King or even the beauty of the system we set out to begin and I am tired of seeing it become something that I wished it would never become.

For those of you unaware I began this crusade in the Calormeni National Council, I sold my fellow countrymen on this and now I am forced to pull out if it and ask that all Calormeni Delegates do the same.
Gentlemen,

I regret that Lord Lancaster is leaving our deliberations. As the designate alternate delegate, I am now taking his place. I would urge all parties to this congress to continue the negotiations.

I feel that we have to accept certain realities if these negotiations are to make any progress at all.

The Hanoverian Confederation has patently failed and any form of federal system for the three dominions seems likewise fated. We have to accept the fact that some form of unitary system must be implemented.

We also have to recognise the reality of Calormeni sensitivity regarding their culture. Constitutional guarntees will have to be given on this issue.

One final point, the authorities in Hanover must accept that the Calormeni will never accept Prince Justin as their king. This is also a reality.

Any compromise will have to entail the following:

1. Some acceptance of a unitary state by the Calormeni
2. Some form of recognition/gurantee of Calormeni culture
3. As Calormen would effectively be merging with Hanover, it would automatically be forfeiting its right to bar Prince Justin from the throne of Calormen. Hanover would have to provide a guarantee that Prince Justin never becomes King of Hanover.

"3. As Calormen would effectively be merging with Hanover, it would automatically be forfeiting its right to bar Prince Justin from the throne of Calormen. Hanover would have to provide a guarantee that Prince Justin never becomes King of Hanover."

What is this?
Your Highness, it is unfortunately a statement of fact.
Braon,

It is a mis-statement at best. Calormen doesn't have that right now. How could it be forfeit?

We determine who shall be heir.

Regards,
HM Alexander
Your Majesty,

With respect, Calormen at the moment has a distinctive identity, its own forums and its own status as a dominion of the Commonwealth. Whether we like it or not, Calormen is able to declare His Highness barred from the throne of Calormen.

The legal ramifications of such an act would be debatable.

After formal incorporation into Hanover as a province, such an action is less likely.

These are facts Your Majesty and we should face up to them.
Whether Calormen likes it or not, I am the Heir to the Throne and that cannot be decided by the Calormeni people.
Your Highness may be the heir to the throne of Hanover but it would be difficult for you to accede to the throne of Calormen when the majority of opinion there is so adamant against you. This may be an unpleasant fact to recognise but nontheless a reality.

Nothing in the Calormen-Hanover Treaty of 2003 guarantees you the throne of Calormen.

I apologise for having to bring it to your attention.
I apologize to bring the following to your attention: the King of Calormen is simultaniously the King of Hanover. I am the heir to the Throne of Hanover, Calormen and Athenoi.
Your Royal Highness,

The 2003 Treaty does provide for the personal union of the crowns of Hanover and Calormen. Your legal right to the Calormen throne would depend upon you being publicly named as King Alexander's heir to the throne of Hanover.

However any legal right can only rest upon the will of the people.

I apologise for having stated Calormeni opinion on the subject of your accession or not to the Calormeni throne. As a relatively new subject of Hanover/Calormen it is more appropriate that other citizens express their own views on the issue.

It is my firm intent to help resolve the problem of the two dominions where we have a united Hanover with guarantees for the Calormeni in place.
