<span class=title> Statement on Corumburg-New Worcester Merger</span><hr size=1>
<strong><div style="text-align:center">JR</div></strong>

Today, the heads of state of various micronations were informed by memorandum that the Sovereign Principality of Corumburg and the Kingdom of New Worcester have merged to form the Empire of Corumburg.

I would like to congratulate these two communities upon this intelligent move. When two such micronations unite and combine resources, most importantly human resources, a larger, stronger and more vibrant nation rises up in the place of two smaller struggling nations. As a result, the micronational community becomes less fragmented and is made healthier, so to speak, by the presence of a larger and more active community.

Perhaps the day of small, jealously guarded fiefdoms is beginning to yield to a new and exciting day of united micronations whose smaller populations combine to create larger, healthier and more challenging societies, thus making the experience of micronational community all the more satisfying for everyone involved. While a nation with ten active citizens may not provide for a very satisfying communal experience, two or three or more such nations combined would create a dynamic and interesting society.

As we congratulate the newly formed Empire of Corumburg and it's young and gifted new Emperor, Adam I, let us focus on what all of us can do to increase the quality of community within our realm and within the larger community of micronations.

<strong>James R</strong>
