 Earth or Bust?<hr size=1>
We need to decide where our simulated Hanover is going to be. Please cast your vote for ONE of the options below. Only members of the Society may vote.

[1.] We will design a realistic Earth-like planet, with other simulated nations, on which to put Hanover.

[2.] We will add some land to the existing map of Earth, and simulate Hanover as if it has always been a part of the macroworld.

The members have spoken. Earth it is.

Now we need to decide where we're going to put Hanover on the existing Earth map.

My first suggestion is that we fill in the Bay of Biscay (the bit of sea just west of France and north of Spain), and make that Hanover.

OR we could add a bit of land in the Baltic sea north of Germany and east of Denmark.

OR we could fill in a bit of the Adriatic sea east of Italy and west of the Balkans.

OR we could theow an existing nation (like the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria or Switzerland off the map and take their place.

OR we could alter some national borders and put ourselves somewhere in central/western Europe.

I think it's more or less a foregone conclusino that we're going to be in Europe. Is there anyone who'd rather be somewhere else?

Afghanistan? I don't do deserts!

The problem with an island is that I never really thought of Hanover as an island nation. I suppose we are closest to Britain, out of any macronation, and that is of course an island - but I always kind of thought of us as a "Western Europe" type nation like France, Germany or Holland.

Here's a map of Europe with some potential sites for Hanover. Personally I like the look of H3, but it takes a big slice of France, Germany and Holland, as far as I can tell.

Okay, so can I take it that you both support the "H1" option? (that's a block of land about the size of Denmark, to the immediate West of Denmark itself)
