Knights,

The Order needs the following items:

A Great Seal

A lesser, personal seal for the Grand Master

A coat of arms

A coat of arms quartered with the arms of the Grand Master

And possibly others.

What should our motto be?

What colors would be suitable for the arms?

We shall have a cross on the arms, shall we not?

I would appreciate your feedback on this.
We applied for all of it, not just the seal.

But of course for some reason, even though my request was made first, its priority is lower than that of the Kingdom of Varennes.

This displeases me.
Your Excellency,

Your request has been lowered in priority for two reasons: first, His Majesty the King of Varennes contacted me immediately, and offered a detailed list of what he wanted; you have not contacted me at all. Second, it is my policy to prioritise national projects over personal/corporate ones. I will work on your project as soon as possible, but keep in mind that I am quite busy.

Sincerely,

Oldenburg
Mr. McQueeny,

It was the policy of the former King of Arms to contact me considering details of my projects.

Secondly, the Order is not personal, nor is it corporate. It is as sovereign as the Tuetonic Knights and the Hospitallers and Templars used to be. The Grand Masters of those Orders ranked among the Princes of Europe.

Therefore, at least one of the reasons you offered is null. <_<

Ioannes.
Your Excellency,

First, I'll thank you to address me properly - "Lord Pious", "My Lord", "Your Lordship", "Baron Oldenburg"... even "Sir Christopher" would do.

I am not the former King of Arms. My policy is to operate my office as much like an actual Heraldic authority as possible; people do not make demands of the Lord Lyon, for instance. If you expect me to respect your sovereignty, respect my authority.

Sincerely,

Lord Oldenburg
It's a bit different when it's yourself being disrespected, isn't it, Lord Patriarch?

I recall you not addressing me the way you should have in the CoC. Does "Your Grace" ring any bells?

As I remember it, it irritated you that I was worried about "technicalities".
On the contrary, it was I that was worried about technicalities, like the fact that "Your Grace" isn't the correct title for a Bishop, except for titular Bishops in the Orthodox Church, which are hardly similar to our Primate Bishops.
The fact that it isn't proper macronationally doesn't matter. Theodosius decreed that the style for the bishop would be "your grace". And I and the other bishops more or less agreed.
Actually, if I recall, Theodosius later tryed to revoke that style, and was voted down.

But since you don't accept macronational precedents, why did you use one to justify your order's sovereignty?
Did I? Not really. I merely used them as examples. Mine is like theirs.
