Hanoverians,

I am pleased to announce that in the Parliamentary elections of this past weekend, your two Unity Party candidates, myself and Christopher Livingston, the Lord Pious of Arms, have been elected, with each of us gaining more votes than any other candidate.

The people of Hanover have given the Unity Party a mandate to rule, and in doing so you have declared your continuing support for our great Imperial adventure, for forging closer interpersonal and intercommunity links with our cousins in Pendronia and elsewhere, and for increasing government support for cultural activity.

To reach these goals on your behalf, the Unity Party will need to form an administration to conduct the executive government of the kingdom. I am pleased to declare, to that end, that our party's official Prime Ministerial candidate will be Mr Christopher Livingston.

As one of our newest citizens, I'm sure you will agree that he has already become an integral and leading member of our community, contributing to projects as diverse as the Never-Ending Story and the national website, and taking up the burden of creating our heraldry to the high standards set by Lord Sigare. In these exciting times, he will lead the government with competence and imagination.

On behalf of the House of Marchmain, I would like to congratulate all the candidates who stood for election this term and to welcome the new Government. I appeal to all of our newly elected officials to enthusiastically take-up the task of representing their constituents and to work harmoniously and diligently together to the benefit of the kingdom.

With esteem,

Louis

Greetings,

I would like to congratulate Mr. Livingston on recieving his party's nomination for the position of Prime Minister. Naturally I do not recognize any groupings 'mandate' to govern, but instead each individual members mandate to act in the way he or she believes is best for the interests of the Kingdom, as per the laws, traditions and democratic principles of our great Kingdom.

That being said, whilst i have not made a firm decision as to who I believe would be the best Hanoverian PM for the next few months (not myself), at this stage I see no reason to oppose the nomination of Mr. Livingston.

Yours Sincerely,

Kieran Evereste.
