The Most Noble Order of the Act is nearly as old as the Kingdom of Hanover herself. His Majesty King James I established the Order to set apart those citizens which showed exceptional loyalty and dedication to the Kingdom. The first Knights are a veritable who's who of the pioneering citizens. The knights of the order have proved time and again to be a critical asset to the nation. During the founding of the Nation the knights of the order proved to be a constant source of support and loyalty that any fledgling nation needs. Knights are always supportive of the Throne and ready to help with advice and efforts, because, above all else, knights enact their creed. The Order also has honours for friends and allies of the nation as well as citizens. The Knight stranger is found helping the nation as fellow travelers, friends and allies from abroad. In foreign relations the Knighthood has often been found at the vanguard doing introductions and other diplomatic functions focused on bringing like minded nations closer to the kingdom. From time to time the monarch has found the need to recognize those that are not part of the community of nations and the order serves as the primary honour bestowed. Today the focus remains the same: service to the nation. Knights can be found at all levels of the nation fulfilling their duties and obligations to the kingdom they so dearly love. Knights serve without thought to self because their character will not permit them to turn a blind eye to any need of the country. The Order remains a critical component in the defense and prosperity of the nation and will likely for generations to come.
