Becoming a Hanoverian Subject
Like every nation, the Kingdom of Hanover has a defined set of criteria for granting citizenship. The most important part of the citizenship process is your participation in the activities of the community. Start by simply becoming involved: the rest happens relatively effortlessly.
Of course, there is paperwork. His Majesty's Government needs to know who you are and how to contact you.
It's not all one sided, however. You need to know about Hanover's government structure and her history and to acquaint yourself with other citizens. Again, the best thing you can do is get involved, but there are certain basic civic requirements as well as an affirmation of loyalty to be taken by all new citizens.
When you are ready, send in the application application.
Open to all: The Kingdom of Hanover embraces diversity and does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, age, political affiliation, sex, sexual orientation or any other criterion.
What is required of citizens?
Nothing, specifically, is required of any citizen. We ask, simply, that you enjoy yourself and find a personally satisfying way to contribute to the life of the community.
Must I pay taxes or dues?
No. Money plays no part in our community. No monetary contributions will ever be asked of you. No monetary contributions are accepted from anyone. Participation in the Kingdom of Hanover is 100% cost free.
Are there any concerns regarding citizenship of my home country?
None at all. The Kingdom of Hanover is not a secessionist group; neither do we, as a community, have any sort of political or philosophical agenda. Our citizens come from all parts of the globe. In applying for citizenship of the Kingdom of Hanover, you are not applying for dual citizenship of a foreign country. The Kingdom of Hanover is not a country, at all, and we make no claim to be one. We call our community, simply, a 'kingdom'; one without territory or borders whose citizens interact mainly via the internet.
