ATTN: Chair & Members of the FDP
Office of the Prime Minister
Kingdom of Hanover

To: FDP
Kingdom of Hanover

Greetings,

In line with the HPPs policy of developing the basic legislation needed in our nation the government has developed an initial draft of a Crimes Act based on the results of public consultation and input from many sources. The government intends to submit this bill to Parliament within the month.

The Crimes Act of any society is one of the defining pieces of legislation, it defines what a society values, what is and what is not acceptable and how what is unacceptable should be dealt with. Much can be learned from any society from what is included in its criminal code.

Because this is such an important and defining piece of legislation it should not, if it is to truly reflect a society, be developed by a single group in isolation of others, such a defining piece of legislation requires the active input of all groups and individuals in a society.

It is therefor my privilege to extend an invitation to the FDP to join in this important process by providing comments and suggestions of any sort regarding the new Crimes Bill as viewable here. This process can be engaged in by the Party as a whole through the submission of joint submissions and/or as individual members providing comment. Your input is valued.

Yours Sincerely,

Kieran Bennett
Prime Minister of Hanover

Re: ATTN: Chair & Members of the FDP
I thank the Prime Minister for his courtesy in allowing FDP members to express their views on this matter. This is very important in a healthy democracy.

I have considered the bill and can find no fundamental objections to it. In principle I am opposed to coercive legislation although from what I know of Hanover it will not be necessary to invoke most parts of this bill if it becomes law.
